CANCELLATIONS & RETURNS

At Poondi Foods, we prepare our traditional powders and pickles fresh to order. Because of the perishable and consumable nature of our products, our cancellation and return policies are strictly enforced to ensure food safety and quality.
1. Order Cancellations by Customer
You may cancel your order directly from your account dashboard under "My Orders", subject to the following rules:
- Status Restriction: Orders can only be cancelled while they are in the Pending status. Once an order is Confirmed or Shipped by our team, the cancellation option is removed.
- Item Eligibility: Not all items are eligible for cancellation. Products explicitly marked with No Cancellations on their product page cannot be cancelled once the order is placed.
- Mixed Carts: To prevent errors, our system does not allow you to mix cancellable and non-cancellable items in the same checkout. If you need both, they must be placed as separate orders.
2. Order Cancellations by Poondi Foods
We reserve the right to cancel any order automatically under certain circumstances. If this happens, you will be notified immediately:
- If a selected product or variant goes out of stock.
- If the delivery pincode becomes unserviceable by our delivery partners.
- If we detect fraudulent activity or pricing errors.
3. Returns & Replacements
Because our products are consumable food items, we do not accept general returns for opened or delivered items due to hygiene and safety regulations. However, an order may be eligible for a replacement or refund under the following conditions:
- The item was severely damaged during transit (e.g., broken glass jars, torn pouches).
- You received an incorrect product.
- The product was spoiled or compromised upon arrival.
If you experience any of these issues, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery. You must provide your Order ID and clear photographs of the damaged or incorrect item.
4. Refund Process
If your cancellation is successful, or a return is approved by our admin team, your order status will be updated to Returned / Refunded.
- Online Payments (Razorpay): Refunds for orders paid via Credit Card, UPI, or NetBanking will be initiated automatically to the original payment method. Please allow 5-7 business days for the amount to reflect in your account.
- Cash on Delivery (COD): If a COD order is cancelled before shipping, no refund is necessary. If a COD order is approved for a return after delivery, our support team will contact you to collect your bank details for a manual transfer.
